That means scrubbing your personal information from anywhere it appears in public on the internet, or at least shrinking your online footprint so it\u2019s harder for others to find you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-protect-yourself-against-doxxing-in-minnesota-and-elsewhere\">How to Protect Yourself Against Doxxing In Minnesota (And Elsewhere)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To make yourself undoxxable, you\u2019ll need to begin by doxxing yourself (check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/joindeleteme.com\/doxxing\/a-guide-to-doxxing-yourself-on-the-internet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">guide to doxxing yourself<\/a> using this <a href=\"https:\/\/joindeleteme.com\/doxxing\/doxxing-tools\/\">list of doxxing tools<\/a> to get started).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As strange as it may sound, doing so will give you the best idea of what steps you need to take to remove or hide your personal data.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve doxxed yourself, your goal should be to go through each place you found your personal information on and remove it. For most people, this will involve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hiding your personal biography information on your social media profiles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changing your post settings from public to private.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using unique usernames and passwords on different websites to make it harder for doxxers to connect your accounts together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Removing your information from data brokers by opting out of their data collection services. Note that you\u2019ll need to repeat the opt-out process whenever new information is uncovered by data brokers, or your profile will be relisted &#8211; unless you hire a <a href=\"https:\/\/joindeleteme.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data broker removal service such as DeleteMe<\/a> to handle the opt-outs for you.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requesting the removal of your personal data from Google Search results and other Google products.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoiding giving out unnecessary information on the internet, especially in public spaces or forums.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The less personal data there is about you on the web, the less likely it is that someone will be able to doxx you.
