Some of that information can be sensitive, including your email address, phone numbers, and contact list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can improve your online security by limiting the amount of information viewable by people you don\u2019t know.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to your LinkedIn account.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the &#8220;Me&#8221; button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click &#8220;Settings &amp; Privacy&#8221; in the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then click &#8220;Visibility&#8221; on the left-hand side of the screen. Fortunately, you can opt out of this data collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From your LinkedIn homepage, click the &#8220;Me&#8221; button in the upper right-hand corner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8220;Settings &amp; Privacy&#8221; from the drop-down menu.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under &#8220;Data privacy,&#8221; you&#8217;ll see an option for &#8220;Social, economic, and workplace research&#8221; at the bottom of the list.
