You have 30 days to dispute any points deductions or fraud determinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also worth noting is that Fetch accounts become inactive (and points expire) after 90 days of no activity (though Fetch will warn you 30 days beforehand).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, you are advised to cash out your points for rewards as soon as you meet the threshold.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Publications like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdwallet.com\/article\/finance\/i-tried-fetch-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NerdWallet<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/guides\/tech\/fetch-rewards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Business Insider<\/a> review Fetch favorably, as do blogs like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sidehustlenation.com\/fetch-app-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Side Hustle Nation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thinksaveretire.com\/fetch-rewards-review-2024-how-much-we-made-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Think Save Retire<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebudgetdiet.com\/is-fetch-rewards-legit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Budget Diet<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Security<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fetch doesn\u2019t have a lot of information about its security practices on its site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it <a href=\"https:\/\/fetch.com\/blog\/fetch-tips-tricks\/is-fetch-safe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">does say<\/a> it has a fraud team whose job it is to ensure that the Fetch app and user accounts are secure.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If Fetch notices strange activity in your account, it\u2019ll freeze it and contact you about it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"764\" height=\"234\" src=\"https:\/\/joindeleteme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/fetchinfosecurity.png\" alt=\"&quot;Is my information safe with Fetch?&quot; \" class=\"wp-image-17393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/joindeleteme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/fetchinfosecurity.png 764w, https:\/\/joindeleteme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/fetchinfosecurity-300x92.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 764px) 100vw, 764px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In its <a href=\"https:\/\/fetch.com\/terms-of-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">terms of service<\/a>, Fetch also says that if you link email or retailer accounts for eReceipts, it encrypts your login credentials and treats that data with the same protections as paper receipts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Privacy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To sign up for Fetch, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/fetch.com\/blog\/fetch-tips-tricks\/is-fetch-safe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">share the following personal information<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birthday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mailing address.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Fetch, it uses this data to provide personalized offers to you. Aggregated\/de\u2011identified data may be used or shared freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"so-should-you-use-fetch\">So, Should You Use Fetch?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Depends on how much you value your privacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fetch shares your purchase data and basic profile information with its brand partners, who can use your data and contact you according to their privacy policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re okay with sharing your data in exchange for points, then Fetch can be a good option for earning a few extra dollars on your everyday expenses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-use-fetch-safely\">How to Use Fetch Safely<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Use a masked email. <\/strong>Or create a dedicated email for rewards\/shopping accounts to keep your main email inbox free of marketing communications.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Limit what you share in your profile. <\/strong>Only fill out the required fields when setting up your account.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t share sensitive receipts. <\/strong>Keep highly personal purchases that you\u2019d rather remain private to yourself.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be selective about what you link. <\/strong>Only link the retailer and\/or email accounts you really want to pull receipts from (and remember you can always unlink them).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Limit the app\u2019s abilities.<\/strong> Prevent Fetch from running in the background so the app only syncs when you open it and deny access to unnecessary permissions, such as contacts, SMS, or camera (only scan receipts when needed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Opt out of Fetch brand partner sharing. <\/strong>Use the \u201cDo Not Sell or Share My Personal Information\u201d link on the website to limit cross\u2011context behavioral advertising.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Modify privacy preferences. <\/strong>Click the \u201cModify Privacy Preferences\u201d link at the bottom of Fetch\u2019s website to turn off cookies, pixels, or other trackers you don\u2019t want.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Create a strong password. <\/strong>Make sure it\u2019s unique, and don\u2019t reuse it across other online accounts. A password manager can be a good option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Audit linked brands. <\/strong>Every few months, go through the brands you\u2019ve linked and unlink any services you no longer use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete old receipts. <\/strong>This way, less data will be stored in the long term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Verify URLs before clicking them and emails before responding to them. <\/strong>Scammers may impersonate Fetch to get you to share sensitive information or click on a malicious link.
